Kuwait : Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah met here on Wednesday with Chairman of the Presidential Council of Libya’s Government of National Accord (GNA) Fayez Al-Sarraj.

During the meeting, both sides discussed the latest developments in the political situation in Libya, as well as ways of developing cooperation relations between the two countries. They stressed that the negative foreign interventions in Libya’s affairs contributed to prolonging the crisis in the North Africa country.

The two sides also agreed on the return of the Kuwaiti embassy to operate from Libya, and that the representative of the State of Kuwait in the Security Council adopt the vision of the GNA and coordinate with the Libyan Mission to the United Nations in this regard.

They agreed in principle on the contribution of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) in the reconstruction programs and service projects in Libya, in addition to communication with the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (AFESD) to contribute to these programs.
